Engineering Design Note: Flat Top Piles in PileVclr
Using PileVclr for creating flat top piles is easy.  Enter multiple linear piles and cut off the tops as shown below.
 The top limit is set at 96.3 in this case.


A series of linear piles with tops at 100 is entered. Which provides a shape with a rectangular top.


The tops of the entered piles, at 100, are high enough above the upper limit to be completely cut off, resulting in a flat top.

Which results in a calculation like this:

That is nice but how do trucks get there?

We are not done. The flat top is created by dumping over the edge of a slope from a bench on the left side
of the top. This configuration is created by entering a sloping wall to represent the existing bench slope.

A new calculation gives the results for a truck dump over the edge. TOP VIEW:

The top, obscured above by the sloping wall representation, is still the same height
as the previous pile as shown in the SIDE VIEW below.

Yes, you could add a sloping bottom if that be the case
