Accurate Live Volumes

Calculating the (Nearly) Impossible. 
Calculates the live and dead volumes of piles of natural materials deposited by conveyors, trippers and radial stackers (even in the same pile) and withdrawn through any under-pile drawholes. Improbable by hand and inaccurate by planimeter methods. PileVclr does it within 1%. As it calculates PileVclr draws the material pile for your reports.

Placement of material in the pile:

  • Single point conveyor discharges.
  • Linear placement, trippers, extensible conveyors, truck dumps.
  • Radial stackers.
  • Any number of the above in the same general location.

Confinement of material:

  • Place vertical walls; straight or circular with simple input data.
  • Any combination of walls for bins and storage buildings.
  • Pitched walls for any purpose, sloping bottoms, canyon walls, etc.
  • Imaginary walls for dividing a pile into calculable parts, if necessary (see mill line sample).

Drawholes:

  • Circular or rectangular placed anywhere in any quantity.

Output Features and Options:

  • An 'as calculated' display of the volumes in a three dimensional picture providing immediate verification of the calculation.
  • An accessible "tape record" of session calculations as trial placement of drawholes, etc. are calculated.
  • User edited drop-down lists of material angle of repose and draw-down angle.
  • The display view is adjustable to any direction or any angle from horizontal to vertical. 
  • User selected picture colors, fonts and type. 
  • User edited units and volume/mass conversion.
  • PileV can be rephrased internally by the user to a different dialect or single byte language.
  • All output is contained in a single graphic that can be exported to other documents.

 

Technical terms in PileVclr are in US west dialect. Convert them to your own dialect.

The program display language is convertible to English, Deutsch, dansk, español, português, suomi, français, italiano, Nederlands, Norsk, svenska, Canadian, Kemewek, 
Australian or other single byte languages on a simple incorporated scratch pad.

Visual check!
The program draws a three dimensional picture of the pile from the calculated data, providing a visual proof of what is being calculated and a verification of the entered data. The picture may be viewed from any direction (360 degrees), and from any elevation from directly overhead to horizontally. Click the thumbnail to see a full size sample picture.

Units by User. The user enters units in a conversion string into an input box, where he has complete control of reported units of volume and mass. Units strings are saved for future use. 

Report Exported to User Document. The entire  output is reported as a graphic with the calculated data superimposed on it. This graphic is in a format that can be inserted into other documents for distribution. The report graphic colors and fonts are selectable.
